New features
Dark mode in the Media Library
For an improved user experience, you can now choose between light and dark themes in the Media Library or use your default system theme from the My Profile page of the Console Settings.
Main action for assets
You can now personalize your experience by selecting your preferred main action for an asset in Card and List views. Choose from the following options:
- Copy Link (default)
- Copy Display Name
- Share (only when permitted)
Structured metadata filters in publicly shared collections
Share better looking, more organized and flexible collections with your vendors. Publicly shared collections can now be filtered by structured metadata and tags from dedicated collections webpages.
Dynamic list values
Media Library users can now have the flexibility to dynamically add list values to single and multi-select structured metadata fields.
Improved PDF previews
You can now view PDFs directly as the preview on the asset management drill-down page, replacing the previous button that opened a modal with a PDF viewer. This enhancement eliminates the need for additional clicks, providing you with a more streamlined and intuitive user experience.
Include PDFs in publicly shared collections
Easily distribute PDFs to your vendors via publicly shared collections. Simplify your collaboration process and ensure everyone has access to the necessary information.
Enhancements
Visual search by URL
Search for visually matching assets from any web source by providing an image link. Find assets that closely match your visual content with ease, streamlining your workflow.
Filter by empty structured metadata field value
You can now filter by empty structured metadata field values for text, date, and number types, in addition to single and multi-selection fields.
Dynamic folder mode for new product environments
When you create new product environments via the UI or Provisioning API, you can now set them to use dynamic folder mode. Dynamic folder mode provides Cloudinary users the flexibility to organize and manage media assets with high performance and without risk of breaking URLs in production.
Additionally, starting June 4th, all new accounts created will default to dynamic folder mode.
For more information about dynamic and fixed folder modes, see Folder modes.

key to deselect assets instead of searching for the small Clear All button.
-

Design upgrades
The headers on the Collections and Folders pages now feature larger titles and buttons for better visibility.
Context menu added to homepage assets
You can now access the context menu for homepage assets by either clicking the button or right-clicking.
Read-only field improvement for bulk edits
It's now easier to see that a field is not editable when updating metadata in bulk.
Warning before leaving Media Library Preferences without saving
No more losing changes done in the Preferences page! Now a warning is displayed when leaving the page without saving.
Show display name on hover in Mosaic view
You can now see display names when hovering over asset thumbnails in the Mosaic view of the Media Library. This enhancement provides quick access to information and enables faster decision-making.
Free text search usability
Instead of having every keystroke in the free text search box trigger a search,
causing frequent screen refreshes, you now need to press Enter
to submit your query and receive results, improving user experience.
Well-placed floating context menu
You can now find the asset’s menu displayed exactly where you click, making it easier to access and select from.
Coming soon
Enhanced functionality for bulk updating multi-select fields
Soon, you'll be able to add new values to multi-select structured metadata fields during bulk edits, even if selected assets have different field values, rather than just overwriting existing data. This enhancement offers greater flexibility in managing your metadata.
